When purchasing a new home, you are entitled to Realtor representation. The Salesperson in the model center is working for the Builder and representing the interests of the builder/developer.
The price of your new home is the SAME with or without representation. You need someone on your side paying attention to the details of one of the biggest investments you may ever make. It’s very easy to enter into a legally binding real estate contract, yet very difficult to extract yourself from hastily made decisions.
It is always an unfortunate situation when receiving a call from new homebuyer in the process of building a new home and has run into some “glitches” in the process… only to discover that they have no Realtor representation and nobody on their side to fight their battles.
A recent phone call from NJ - family building a a new home… unfortunately the Tucson job opportunity didn’t turn out as planned and they won't be moving or into the home under construction in Sahuarita. A $7,000 deposit had been given to the builder – which they were in the process of losing... Buyer wanted to know how they might be able to get out of the contract & money returned...
